About the role
MedicoHerbs Group (Pty) Ltd, based in Somerset West, Western Cape, is a South African manufacturer and supplier of natural wellness products. Our range includes herbal teas, capsules, powders, sprays, drops and other plant-based products. We supply retail customers, wholesalers, private-label businesses and international clients through our online platforms and direct sales channels. We are looking for an energetic, confident and sales-driven individual to join our growing team. We need someone who genuinely puts customers first, takes ownership of their responsibilities and is motivated to grow sales through strong service, consistent follow-up and active business development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service • Manage local and international customer enquiries through email, WhatsApp and telephone • Handle customer service for Shopify, eBay and Etsy and other platforms • Assist customers with product, order, payment, account and delivery enquiries • Respond professionally and ensure that no enquiry is overlooked • Handle complaints calmly and follow matters through until resolved • Keep customers informed regarding order progress, dispatch and delivery • Escalate serious complaints or sensitive matters to management Expos and Promotional Events • Represent MedicoHerbs Group professionally at expos, exhibitions and promotional events • Engage with visitors and introduce the company's products and services • Generate and record sales leads at events • Follow up with potential clients after each event • Assist with the setup, operation and packing down of the company stand where required • Be available for occasional events outside normal office hours Administration and Internal Coordination • Maintain accurate customer, quotation and sales records • Work closely with management, finance, production, stock control, packing and fulfilment • Obtain accurate information before responding to customers or confirming orders • Communicate important customer requirements, deadlines and large-order opportunities Sales and Business Development • Identify and approach potential local and international clients • Cold call prospective customers and introduce MedicoHerbs Group's products and services • Research suitable retailers, wholesalers, distributors, health shops, pharmacies, manufacturers and other potential business clients • Generate new leads through telephone calls, email outreach and online research • Build and maintain an active sales pipeline • Develop new wholesale, bulk, white-label and private-label business • Prepare and send quotations, price lists, catalogues and product information • Follow up consistently on leads, quotations, samples and potential orders • Convert enquiries and prospects into confirmed sales • Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients • Identify opportunities to increase order values and encourage repeat business • Work towards agreed sales and business-development targets • Provide regular updates on calls made, leads generated, quotations sent and sales converted Training on our products and internal systems will be provided. Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:30–16:00 Friday: 08:30–15:00 Salary ranging from R10,000 – R20,000 with quarterly performance bonuses.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Matric or an equivalent qualification • 2-3 years' experience in sales, telesales, business development, account management or customer service • Confidence in cold calling and approaching prospective clients • Strong written and spoken English • Excellent telephone and communication skills • Good computer and administrative skills • Confidence using email, online research and e-commerce platforms • Strong organisational and follow-up abilities • Ability to work independently and take ownership of sales activities • Willingness to attend occasional expos and promotional events Experience with Shopify, Takealot, eBay, Etsy, wholesale sales, international clients, e-commerce or natural wellness products will be advantageous.
